St Guron’s well

Bodmin 08St Guron’s well is easily located in the churchyard of St Petroc’s church, Bodmin. The small C16 well house stands at the west end of the church. Above its tiny door is a much-decayed carving of a praying monk, presumably the saint himself.

The water passes under the churchyard and emerges about 10m away at a corner on a busy roundabout, the water issuing through a variety of spouts and troughs.
